Personal History Assignment

Purpose: To give students an opportunity to create their own personal histories using a number of sources. The project allows students the chance to be a historian and determine what will be remembered. The project also allows the class to get to know each other better.

Skills: At the end of this assignment students will be able to:

    1. Evaluate primary and secondary sources
    2. Create multiple forms of history

Format: Students will create a 3-5 minute personal history presentation. The personal history will include at least 4 sources including 2 written sources. The following list corresponding with the multiple intelligences offers a few suggestions.
